On Wednesday 14 February 2024, all Year 12 students are taking part in a speed-networking event called “Loving your work.” There will be up to 150 students in the refectory and we would like to invite 35-40 OBM guests to participate. As one of our guests you will have a seat and table; students will move around the room in groups of four to six, spending approximately seven minutes with each guest, so you will meet up to ten groups for a few minutes at a time.

As the title suggests, we would like you to talk to students about finding work they will love, rather than trying to match students with specific roles at this early stage in their own careers. You wouldn’t need to have a presentation prepared, this is an informal style careers event with the aim of our young people hearing from, and meeting, as many different people as possible.

If you would like to take part, you would need to arrive at Bedford Modern School recption at 9.30am. You should be finished by 11am but you are welcome to stay to network and catch-up with the other OBM guests. Refreshments wil be provided.
