TR Troops are a thriving rugby 7s team made up of more than 40 OBMs from a wide range of year groups. This year marks four years since the team first started competing, and the squad has continued to grow as more OBMs get involved.
The Troops will once again be taking part in the Olney 7s tournament on 27 June, where they will be the most represented side. This year, the team is hoping to enter three teams, reflecting the strong level of interest and the growing mix of different generations enjoying the chance to play together.
Danny Trott (2014-20) said:
“The team has gone from strength to strength over the last few years and we’ve had some excellent results. Last year’s win against Bedford School was a real highlight.”
As the team continues to develop, TR Troops are now looking for a kit sponsor for this year’s tournament. Any support would be warmly appreciated and would help the team as they prepare for another enjoyable and competitive event.
