We are delighted to announce the appointment of Georgia Goddard (2012-17) as the inaugural Vice President of the OBM Club.

This newly created role, working alongside current OBM President Paul Nash, has been established to complement the excellent work already undertaken by Paul and to further strengthen engagement across the alumni community. In particular, the position will focus on connecting with early leavers and younger members of the OBM Club, especially those aged 18 - 40, as well as female alumni.

Georgia says:

I am delighted to be appointed the first Vice President! My journey within the OBM club began as soon as I left school in 2017 - where I was whisked along to my first OBM event by my uncle, Steve Simmonds. Despite being one of a handful of female OBMs and the only attendee from my year group, I was warmly welcomed in by OBMs of all school years and cohorts.

During the last 9 years, it’s been a pleasure to watch the club grow and evolve. I look forward to having the opportunity in playing an active role in continuing to drive that progress.

I’ve experienced first-hand the support and generosity available within the OBM community, taking the first step in my career at an OBM-led marketing agency by Tom Perry and Dominic Baber-Norris. I look forward to supporting young OBMs in their journeys within the OBM club, and ensuring that all members are taking advantage of the support available within our fantastic community.

I currently work in marketing as a Senior Producer in London, and have recently un-retired from my school rowing days at Bedford Rowing Club. I’m excited to continue attending the upcoming OBM events, the first in my new role being the Founder's Dinner in a few weeks time.

Do come and say hello at OBM events, I’m usually the one dressed in a BMS rowing blazer!

The Vice President position will be a two-year term, designed to overlap with successive OBM Club Presidents in order to provide continuity and support; the role does not automatically lead to succession to the presidency.
