You may wish to give something back to the school but feel unable to make a donation during your lifetime. If that is the case, leaving a legacy gift in your will could be your lasting tribute and could help support the future of Bedford Modern School.
All legacy gifts are exempt from inheritance tax and can reduce the tax liability to your beneficiaries, meaning they are an easy and tax efficient way to make a difference. No matter how large or small, all legacies make a huge difference to BMS students, and you can specify how you would like your gift to be used.
If you decide to leave a legacy gift to Bedford Modern School in your will, we would be grateful if you could complete the Legacy Gift Form to let us know. This is not legally binding, but it does give us the opportunity to thank you during your lifetime.
On writing or amending your will to reflect your wishes, your solicitor will need to state that your bequest is in favour of Bedford Modern School (Manton Lane, Bedford, MK41 7NT), part of The Harpur Trust (Pilgrim Centre, Brickhill Drive, Bedford, MK41 7PZ), Company number: 3475202, Registered Charity Number: 1066861.
